5 dudes from New Jersey who go by the name of Steel Train steamed their way into Mesa, Arizona on October 30th. The Reason? To be direct support for Indie Rock super group Fun. But Steel Train was not just there to open, They were there to steal the show.
Steel Train mixes a unique blend of Indie Rock, Americana, and Pop to provide a sound that is truly their own. Led by vocalist/guitarist Jack Antonoff the band wen't immediately into cuts of the groups latest record deservingly titled Steel Train. The crowd wasted no time to in their start of dancing, singing along, and just having a great time. The band embraced the audiences participation when they played a song they made especially for the show Yo Gabba Gabba. The 5 piece from jersey played their asses off, making sure everyone was pleased. And most definitely was able to set the bar high for headliners Fun. Providing one of the most fun live shows i've seen and musically one of the best sounding sets I've seen I highly suggest going out and seeing these dudes in January with The Get Up Kids.
